Crating for Temporary Storage

The Episcopal Church of The Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, PA approached our team with a distinctive task: safeguarding their altar screen for temporary storage during renovations. Crafted as a visual centerpiece, the partition boasts intricate designs fashioned from bronze, brass, and semi-precious stones.

Preserving the altar screen’s sanctity posed a unique challenge due to its delicate composition of materials. We prioritized developing a packaging solution to uphold its integrity throughout the temporary storage period, ensuring its safekeeping during the renovation process.

Custom Packaging Materials

Each component was meticulously wrapped in corrosion intercept,a specialized polyethylene film infused with reactive copper particles. This advanced material protects against corrosive gases, safeguarding the enclosed metals. Furthermore, custom-built crates featuring watertight seals lined with tailored stratocell foam interiors were crafted to house the individual components securely.

With a legacy dating back to 1978, The Wooden Jacket has earned a reputation for excellence in handling materials like bronze, brass, and stone. Our commitment to quality craftsmanship is evident in our solutions, tailored to meet the distinct requirements of each project. Whether it’s protecting cherished artworks or valuable artifacts, you can rely on The Wooden Jacket to ensure safe arrival at each piece’s final resting place.
